Ms Temitope Lawal is a Counselling Psychologist and Psychotherapist registered both with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Ms Lawal has worked within various Psychological Therapy Services in the NHS in the United Kingdom delivering interventions to clients with complex mental health needs. Ms Lawal has also worked within the Family assessment sector, where a variety of safeguarding children services including a range and combination of quality tailor made assessments and intervention arrangements to meet the needs of children and families.
Ms Lawal draws upon the different modalities covered in her Doctoral training such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy and Systemic Therapy to support the needs of the client and their way of working. She also is trained in Loss and Bereavement, Sexual Violence, and its Impact on Mental Health, Using DBT with Complex Clients and more. Ms Lawal’s professional experience has given her diverse proficiency to address a broad spectrum of emotional and interpersonal difficulties such as anxiety disorders, depression, stress, bereavement, trauma, sexual and emotional abuse, issues of identity, anger, and interpersonal issues.
Ms Lawal is experienced in facilitating therapeutic groups, as well as specialising in working with couples. Ms Lawal is a clinical supervisor with special interest in Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion. Ms Lawal additionally assists businesses and organisations in training, workshops, and groups on various topics around, staff mental health and well-being, psychological consulting and management and performance.
